Ltd is a bespoke Occupational Health recruitment consultancy based in the United
Client is seeking an Occupational Health Technician
1)Deliver a robust health screening, health surveillance pre placement
screening, health surveillance, driver/statutory medical programme for the
business. a) This includes provision of
hearing, skin, vision and lung function tests, driving medicals, executive
medicals and tier 1 hand arm vibration assessments.
2)Deliver an effective treatment service for all workers, contractors
and visitors when taken ill or injured in the workplace. a) This includes attending to emergency calls
on site and driving the site ambulance both on and offsite as required.
3) Provide advice and support to colleagues and managers in discharging
their responsibilities with regards to workplace activities and associated
health hazards. a) This includes Display Screen Equipment (DSE), manual
handling, workplace ergonomics, noise and vibration etc. b) Liaise with Health
and Safety as required on these topics
4) To provide administrative support to the Occupational Health Team.
This includes reception services; managing appointments and recalls for the OH
team; maintaining stock levels; and undertaking filing and record keeping
5) In addition, the role must act in accordance with responsibilities as
described in the Health and Safety Policy ensuring that good Health and Safety
practice is incorporated into daily activities.
General Nursing Experience
Experience of working in an occupational health department or
organisation Experience of administering first aid / treatment services A
background in healthcare, ideally primary healthcare, would be advantageous
