Main Duties and Responsibilities
To lead an Occupational Health and Wellbeing service which meets partner and customer needs and to take a key role in the development and delivery of a wellbeing strategy for each partner that enables each organisation to achieve its people and workforce strategy.
Lead the development and delivery of Health and Wellbeing reactive and proactive strategies as part of each partner’s people and workforce strategies, their organisational priorities.
Ensure compliance with professional standards and best practice and aligning timely service delivery with regional partners as necessary and appropriate.
Operational management and professional leadership of a highly professional, efficient, effective and quality service that enhances the wellbeing of our workforce in order to improve Individual health and wellbeing and in turn improve individual performance and service outcomes.
Responsibilities will include (but not exclusively); develop and deliver Wellbeing strategies; strategic implementation plans; managing the OH and Wellbeing function; ensuring clinical practice and governance is compliant with professional standards; maintaining service provision and audit; management of budgets; full staff management responsibilities; service and business planning; management of complaints; and, data management in compliance with legislative requirements.
Ensure the provision of expert advice on health and wellbeing related matters as well as, ensuring that the service maintains and grows its knowledge of health and wellbeing best practice
Ensure that professional standards remain current for service and policy development and to provide advice on health and wellbeing related matters that is compliant with legislation and minimises litigation.
Raise awareness of physical and mental health wellbeing across each partner including the school sector so that it becomes integral to service and workforce planning and management for the benefit of each organisation and its workforce. Promote the wellbeing service and its contribution to the priorities of the organisation.
Optimise the day to day working relationship, process and practice between OH & Wellbeing, HR Business Partners, Wellbeing leads and HR caseworkers to provide high quality tactical and strategic advice and support to the business.
Monitor and evaluate service performance, quality and delivery, ensuring systems are in place to review and monitor operational and strategic progress and that performance issues are identified and addressed and to inform development of service delivery.
Ensure the service meets current and future partner and customer needs through the development and implementation of a pro-active partner / customer engagement strategy and high-quality services.
Develop and deliver a customer retention and acquisition strategy which maintains current levels of income.
