Our Client is seeking an Occupational Health Manager

Responsibilities:

To act as the expert advisor on clinical governance, quality and risk management, ensuring compliance with the legislative requirements, national and local policies, embedding the principles of robust clinical governance throughout the organisation as relevant.

  • To Manage 4 OH Advisors and up to 4 administrators
  • To support the clinical team and other relevant individuals in areas relating to clinical governance by working closely with the departmental leads in the development, implementation and review of clinical effectiveness and outcomes.
  • Provide expert and specialist advice and support to the Senior Management Team and senior managers relating to such areas as risk and incident management, regulatory compliance, complaints resolution, clinical negligence and health and safety.
  • Identify the implications of regulations, policies and strategies on current practice highlighting any changes required as a result of these.
  • To assist with the development, review and maintenance of local policies, procedures and guidelines.
  • Operate collaboratively with internal teams and departments to ensure any care provided is safe and effective and case management/clinical assessment and advice is consistent. This involves liaising regularly with stakeholders at all levels to resolve complex clinical and operational issues, and to embed changes in clinical practice.

 Requirements

·         A minimum of 2 years in a recent senior Governance role within a clinical setting.

·         Experience in undertaking leadership roles, and in contributing to the development, implementation and evaluation of strategies and clinical policies

·         Previous success in delivering against a comprehensive governance strategy

·         Significant experience of advising clinical team in a range of governance, quality and risk managements topics.

·         Experience of measuring and evaluating outcomes in order to drive improvement
